Web Ambassador
NVRA has implemented a system that provides instant access for physicians to review scanned patient images by using their own internet connected computer. We proudly offer our referring physicians and care givers the Web Ambassador - A film free image system.
The Web Ambassador provides the physician access to a film-less centralized data base of patient images and reports that can be easily viewed on a personal desk top computer anywhere at anytime through the internet. Provided your doctor's office has the appropriate software, your personal physician will have the capability to view images, conveniently, from their office, or even within the privacy of their own home late on a Friday afternoon.
In order for you and your physician to enjoy these benefits the Web Ambassador can be easily installed by NVRA, free of charge. The Web Ambassador software is HIPPA compliant and access is only available through physician password protection.
Physicians can contact the NVRA IS department at 203-267-3340 ext. 1104 for more information about the Web Ambassador. Our IS staff will review their current computer specifications to ensure their PC is compatible with the software. Our staff also provides training and support on the Web Ambassador software free of charge.

A secure socket layer connection (HIPAA compliant) is established to the patient image repository called the DR Communicator. Although a dial up modem could be used to establish an internet connection, it is highly recommended to have a DSL or cable modem connection. The software can be installed on Windows 98, ME, or XP. Also, the software is installed from a CD, so your PC must have a CD-ROM drive.
